With Toronto fashion week now over, it is the time to look back at the runways and celebrity fashion to explore jewelry trends that will shape the rest of year to come.  Three of the current trends popping up are yellow gold, layering necklaces, and stacking rings.

Yellow Gold
- There has been plenty of exposure for yellow gold from celebrities at Awards shows and to fashion runways all over the world, gold jewelry has been bountiful. It doesn't hurt that is also the most complimentary accessory for the 70's boho inspired looks from the Spring 2015 runways. The classic gold is here to say.

Layering Necklaces
- The relaxed silhouettes coming of the runways for spring 2015 offer a plethora of different necklines making layering styles a great addition to you collection.  Whether the pieces are multi-strands or just singles layers together, small and simple necklaces when layered together can make a big statement.

Stacking Rings -  The relaxed silhouettes this year call for casual accessories, including the layered look on the hand.  Stacking rings is a topic that has been discussed before on our blog and is a continuing trend. Build a bigger look on your hand with lots of small rings.

Stacking Jewelry

Coco Chanel’s famous edict “before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off” is beginning to fall by the wayside.  There is a more-is-more mindset happening when it comes to jewelry right now, it is all about pairing new finds with old favourites.  Wearing numerous pieces of jewelry is no longer a taboo.  Do not be confused, stacking jewelry can still be a delicate art form.  Throwing on all of your jewelry aimlessly can run the risk of looking like a child who raided their mother’s jewelry box.  The key is rather than scattering pieces all over the body, stack them and concentrate on a specific part of the body. One tip to stacking is to experiment with shapes and lines. Having a combination of horizontal and vertical pieces, and creating a bit of negative space, will ensure that it never looks like you are wearing too many pieces of jewelry at once.  Below are some great stacking ideas to get you started.
